Rome · in your kitchen
Italian cooking, in the house you’ve rented.
She arrives with the shopping done. Three hours together. Then you sit down. No classroom, no strangers, no queue at a trattoria for twelve.
The evening
In your villa
A private cooking lesson, then the meal you just made.
The night off
Private dinner
She cooks. You stay with your people.
Who
Two tables in one kitchen.
Ginny Flores has taught Italian cooking since 2005. She trained at the Cordon Bleu in Florence, lived half her life in Tuscany, and works in Rome. Her father and grandparents cooked the Italian seasons. Her mother cooked Indonesia. That is why she tells Italian food through spice — and why Gambero Rosso called her an expert, not a tourist chef.
With Giuseppe Carrus she built the spice-and-wine pairings for Odissea nelle spezie: one episode, one spice.

Proof
She walked in with the shopping. Three hours later we were eating in our own kitchen. The children actually cooked.
Family of eight · holiday rental, Rome
Not a pasta class. Cardamom in a béchamel, pepper toasted in the pan. We still talk about the rice pudding.
Couple · Trastevere
Gambero Rosso was why we wrote. The evening was why we wrote again.
Villa stay · Roman countryside
Not pasta for tourists
Sixteen spices, drawn in ink.
Authority first. Booking later. This is the ground Gambero Rosso already gave her.
